You possess a mechanism that allows you to transport yourself to a reality based on your changing experiences. When things are going well many individuals inhabit a reality where they value themselves highly. However, during tough times they may shift to a reality where their self-worth diminishes.
Our perception of ourselves often fluctuates due to influences such as people, places and events. This is especially true for those who already struggle with self-worth. It's an aspect of being human, flawed as we all are. While this doesn't justify the behavior it does highlight the importance of recognizing and addressing it.
Remember that while your surroundings and thoughts may change, they do not alter the individual that you're at your core. You possess goodness and worthiness irrespective of external circumstances. So, wherever life takes you regardless of the factors at play; remain true to yourself.
There's no necessity to shift your sense of self-worth. Those with positive self-image understand their value, regardless of external circumstances. People who have a sense of self-worth and confidence feel at ease with themselves. They remain true to their identity regardless of the situations around them. Which is quiet important as life’s circumstances are often beyond our control.
Recognize your worth. Embrace yourself, flaws and all. Take the time to understand your strengths, weaknesses, talents and skills. Appreciate that you are a one of a kind individual, uniquely you! This alone is reason enough to value and love yourself deeply. Celebrate your uniqueness. You were brought into this world with a purpose. Hold significance just as you are. Don't let external factors alter how you see yourself because they can and will shift without any say on your part.
